Trial and Error is Recruiting!

by FarnB, 42 days ago

PVE - PST - DRAENOR - 5/6 SUNWELL

Greetings from Trial and Error!

RECRUITING
Trial and Error is a PST raiding guild currently looking for three new members to finish off our numbers. At this point we are looking to get one Holy Priest and two Holy Paladins. We are currently working on Kil'Jaeden and are looking to recruit people who are also capable of this task. This would mean that all applicants will need to be exceptionally geared (at least full T6 as well as some Sunwell pieces).

SCHEDULE
We Raid Sunday through Thursday from 6pm to 11pm (PST) but everyone needs to be prepared to stay up an hour longer if needed during new content pushes.

ABOUT US
Trial and Error was formed with the pure intention of being a top notch raiding guild. We all work hard to complete our goals and we expect all members and potential recruits to feel the same way.

EXPECTATIONS
Joining Trial and Error is a multi-step process. Your attention to these rules is imperative to insure a successful and tactful entry into our ranks.

1. Rules. Follow all rules and guidelines as listed in this forum. Whereas failure to follow a rule may result only in temporary punishment for a full member, applicants may face immediate rejection upon disregard of a rule.

2. Trial Period. You are a recruit for two (2) weeks. At the end of the two weeks, your application will be reviewed and your membership considered. Attendance, skill and attitude all determine whether you will be allowed to join our guild.

3. Attendance. You must maintain a 70% or higher attendance rate while a trial member over the course of the two weeks. If you cannot make 3 raids your first week, you’d best wait another week before applying. If there are (and typically it is the case) 5 raids a week, it is expected that you attend at least 7 raids over the course of two weeks to be considered for membership. If you miss too many raids and after two weeks your attendance is lower than 70%, even if you are Jesus Christ playing a paladin, you will be asked to leave. Clearly you have higher priorities. That’s okay. We understand.

4. Loot. Loot is awarded to recruits only after no member or raider has asked for it. You are charged for this loot. It is not free. That said, you are welcome to ask for loot at appropriate times.

5. Play nice. Even if you want to insult someone, don’t. You probably don’t have a good grasp on our guild’s humor, so I’d recommend that you refrain from jokes that may be construed as inappropriate or insulting. We have a strict policy against inappropriate attitudes, particularly during raids. It is wise to remain courteous rather than playfully mean, as it could affect whether you make membership.

6. Come prepared to every raid. If you forget to bring potions, your weapons, or anything else listed in the “preparation” section of the rules, you may find yourself guildless.

7. All decisions are final. If an officer regretfully informs you that you are not a match, then good luck buddy. No offense, but you aren’t what we’re looking for. Complaints, threats, etc, will be met with swift justice.

8. Getting in. So, you managed not to anger too many people and you aren’t awful at what you do. Congratulations! You’re halfway there. You will be promoted to “member” status and given access to the remainder of the guild’s website. You have every privilege of calling yourself a Trial and Error member, however, you are not considered a “raider”. After two more weeks of membership, your attendance will be re-evaluated and you can be promoted to “raider” status. A raider is someone who maintains 75% or higher attendance over a 30 raid-day period. It requires at least four (4) weeks worth of attendance to qualify for this position. Once you reach the four-week time period, your rank is evaluated bi-weekly.

PREPARATION

Enchantments: Every piece of gear – excluding those that cannot – must be enchanted with adequate, raid level-appropriate enchants.

Gems: Socketed gear carries the same requirement as enchanted gear. One must use discretion: putting uncommon gems into the highest-tiered raid item available illustrates your lack of dedication to your personal progression and it not acceptable.

Consumables and Flasks: Each night, you should come to a raid with an assortment of potions and an acceptable number of flasks (one stack of the flask that suits your role in the raid should suffice; i.e., damage flasks for spell dps, health flasks for tanks). It is also a requirement that you maintain stacks of bandages, poisons, weapon oils, sharpening stones, stat food and anything else that can provide you with an advantage in a raiding situation. These are not optional.

Other Gear: Your raid spot will be compromised if you fail to observe the necessary gear requirements for raiding. Stamina gear, resistance gear, 2 minute PvP trinkets and (sometimes) other-spec gear are required for Trial and Error raids. Many fights require a minimum amount of hitpoints, where a spell effect can instantly kill you if you have below a certain number. Other fights will result in instant death without adequate resistance gear. Also, some classes need to come prepared to swap into a different gear set (feral druids, paladins who have to tank, mages who have to tank, etc). If the raid must wait for you to zone out, fly to a major city, find your gear, and come back, you are wasting time for 25+ other individuals. Trial and Error will not tolerate continued lack of required gear.

Ventrillo: Though our server changes occasionally, it is always listed in the guild information tab. You are required to join and be in ventrillo for every raid, with the sound on. Missing information that is given on ventrillo because you failed to join or intentionally leave your sound off will result in immediate expulsion from the raid.

CONTACTS
Ughluk or Farn on the Draenor Server.

IN CLOSING
We take all applications very seriously and expect all applicants to do the same. If an application is received that is plagued with major spelling or grammar errors it will probably be discarded. First impressions mean a lot to us, and we hope all applications we receive are an accurate representation of a person's character.
